Presented at G46: Fischergalgen am Rhein in Basel-City, Switzerland on 14.06.2019

This work is a response to my previous performance “The Encrypted Devil In Unseen Details”, in which some texts about acing the devil being encrypted/hidden in other human beings are performed.

The german title “Erdpol”, “Terrestrial pole” in english, should be understood as a metaphor of an individual that is returning back to his body after a having been a long time outside of it.

Pluto/Hades is known as the roman/greek god of the underworld. The ritualistic use of its sign made with candles was meant to be a grave for 4 poems. Once I read each they get burned and thrown to the symbolic underworld over the floor.

At the end I jump into the Rhine as an association with the momentum of death by returning to the astral river to flow eternally in the aether. This was inspired by Radiohead’s Pyramid Song Lyrics “I jumped into the river – black-eyed angels swam with me – a moon full of stars and astral cars – and all the figures I used to see”.
