Presented at Parallel 2016<\/a><\/strong> in Vienna<\/strong>, Austria<\/strong> on 24.09.2016<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within the exhibition by Mikro<\/strong> from Z\u00fcrich<\/strong> at the Vienesse Parallel<\/strong> I was invited to perform together with Melanie Kistler<\/strong> and Marlene Lahmer<\/strong>. While Melanie<\/strong> plays a gold statue that moves after money has been given, Marlene <\/strong>and I play in the room with coins whose sounds are recorded by a microphone. A Pure-Data Patch loops the sounds and plays them further in the room through two amplifiers. While the coin cluster plays the statue improvises to these noises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Toward the end of the performance Marlene<\/strong> reads a poem written by her. The title of the performance Parallel Manifesto<\/strong> is to be understood as an intervention within the parallel and its structure, in which the coins, as a symbol, again call upon the emergence of the cultural capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
