A guitar and a synthesizer are played through a television, which graphically reproduces audio frequencies. The resulting “frequency pictures” are then translated into audio via a light sensor.

One can say that the sound you hear is only modulated (decoded by the instruments and decoded by the TV) electricity and brown noise.
